Job Description

Our client is looking to add a Director of Marketing Analytics to their team in Addison. They are building a Performance Marketing organization that serves 7 different brands and is rooted in analytics, experimentation, and the test-and-learn approach. Their organization includes strategists, digital marketers, media buyers, analysts and data scientists, market researchers. This is the rare opportunity to come in at the ground level and help shape how a sizable company does performance marketing.

In this role, you will oversee Marketing Analytics for multiple brands, including B2C and B2B channels. You will set analytics strategy and build out data management roadmap for the Marketing organization. You will build and manage a team of analysts and data scientists across several locations to achieve your goals.

You will spend your time:
  • Leading high-impact marketing analytics projects, with focus on marketing performance/ROI measurement, marketing effectiveness and efficiency optimization, attribution and marketing mix modeling, user segmentation
  • Developing and executing of marketing analytics and data management roadmap
  • Managing, prioritizing and executing ad hoc analyses requested by marketing and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing the development of statistically sound testing strategies and frameworks
  • Designing and implementing processes to ensure marketing data hygiene
  • Driving strategy of analytics tool implementations
  • Partnering with stakeholders in marketing and across the business to identify practical opportunities to leverage large data sets and employ advanced analytics techniques to improve marketing and sales performance
  • Providing thought leadership on the development of marketing analytics and technology “ stack,” including vendor selection and development of analytics use cases to support platform investments

The ideal candidate will be ready to jump in and start producing results from day one.
  • Master’ s degree in an analytical field
  • At least 6-12 years of analytics experience within a marketing organization; proficiency with web and marketing analytics, attribution modeling, customer segmentation
  • Proven record (at least 3 years of experience) of hiring and building high-performing analytics teams
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python, Google Analytics 360, data visualization platforms, and other analytical tools
  • Deep expertise with relational databases and data mining techniques (e.g., cluster analysis, regressions, decision trees, predictive modeling)
  • Experience working with IT to evaluate and integrate analytics and marketing technology tools and design effective data architecture for marketing and consumer data
  • Highly analytical mindset, exceptionally strong critical thinking skills, deep understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts
  • Ability to synthesize analytical findings and effectively communicate the “ so what” of complex analyses to drive stakeholder alignment
  • Significant experience coaching analysts and data scientists on data extraction and manipulation, root cause analyses, advanced analytics methodologies, report and dashboard design, effective communication, and connecting analytics to business goals
  • Passion for understanding the business and using analytics as a tool to help inform decision-making
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrixed structure, utilizing a consultative approach to get things done

Strong candidates will also have:
  • Experience leveraging Customer Data Platforms, DMPs, CRMs and/or other marketing data tools
  • Experience leveraging cloud infrastructure to set up and manage customer data
