Senior Consultant – Business Process Automation

Alpharetta, GA or Marietta, GA


Position Description

The Senior Consultant supports the project’ s common goals, and contributes individually, by analyzing data, system functionality, and business practices/operations, to create and document the designs of the clients’ solution implementations as well as participate is all implementation work streams.


Senior Consultants have a deep technical area of experience in one or more areas (e.g., RDBMS, Business Intelligence, business process automation (BPA), application development/systems integration, etc.) and perform planning and management of tasks, manage client relationships, and manage project financials.


While most of our clients are in the Atlanta area, there is always potential for out of town clients.  Up to 50% travel might be required.



Job Responsibilities
  • Consulting Services Delivery
    • Analysis and input in to application development/implementation methods, approaches and tools across the solution development lifecycle.
    • Analysis and documentation of a client’ s business processes and functional requirements in the context of business process automation (BPA) toolsets.
    • Analysis of the client’ s business and identifying the necessary transformation based on proposed BPA solution(s).
    • Developing detailed design specifications and related BPA toolset specific deliverables.
    • Developing and executing test scripts.
    • Investigating, resolving, and responding to issues that arise and suggesting solutions\options to management.
    • Effectively using tools and resources to accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Creating detailed documentation and test results.
    • Developing industry knowledge through continued participation in a variety of information system related initiatives.
    • Developing and maintaining appropriate client relationships.
    • Completing assignments on schedule and within budget guidelines.
    • Demonstrating ability to accurately apply required methodologies, concepts and skills to common, moderately complex situations.
    • Efficiently and effectively organizing own work and the work of others.
    • Assisting engagement management with assessment of client’ s business environment and defining effective approaches to address complicated, specialized or new situations.
    • Designing and structuring major project deliverables with minimum guidance.
    • Reviewing team member deliverables to ensure quality and compliance to established plans, agreements and metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Consulting Services organization, including identification of areas of improvement, improvement suggestions, and execution of improvements.
    • Participate in the development of internal business processes to support company as it grows.
    • Identify, refine, and promote best practices in terms of deliverables, processes, and knowledge sharing.
    • Attend external meetings, sales events, seminars, user groups, webinars, etc. to keep abreast of the latest developments\trends within the industry as it relates to service offerings.


Other Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Attend company functions including company meetings, community service events and social events (e.g. happy hours) as an example for other employees and to cultivate team building.
  • Seek out opportunities for professional skills advancement through classes, seminars, webinars, events, self-study, etc.
  • Support marketing \ social media \ thought leadership initiatives.
  • Assist the leadership with other activities and tasks as assigned.


Education Requirements
  • 4-year BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems consulting services and business needs analysis involving COTS/custom business applications.


Skill Requirements
  • 2+ years of working with BPA toolsets in the marketplace; i.e., Nintex, K2, and/or Microsoft.
  • Demonstrated strong working experience with deployment of BPA toolsets to address client requirements.
  • Comfortable in playing SME role in all implementation work streams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies (e.g., InfoPath, workflow tools, O365, etc.).
  • Possess written and oral communication skills to prepare and communicate deliverables and procedures as well as to interact with senior levels within the client, project, and consulting services organization.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Capacity to multi-task, superior organizational skills, and relentless attention to detail.
  • Strong track record in managing concurrent tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, changing, demanding environment with quality results.
  • Experience with systems development life cycle methodologies and frameworks (e.g. Agile/Scrum, ‘ Waterfall’).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assist with problem solving and business rule definition. 
  • Handles ambiguity without losing focus and can perform with minimal direction.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

Desired Skills
  • Experience with application or systems programming
  • Knowledge of relation database concepts
  • Knowledge and experience with Office 365, SharePoint, or other Cloud platforms
