Job Description

Advertising Operations Specialist

Summary: 

Includes creative retrieval, trafficking, troubleshooting issues, and prioritizing daily workflow to ensure that advertising revenue is maximized via on time and quality delivery.  This role will implement thousands of ads over the year, with the goal of maximizing revenue via on-time delivery and quality execution.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the fulfillment of advertising campaigns with a focus on on-time delivery and quality execution; tasks include: request/receipt of advertising creative from clients, creative testing, creative upload, proper targeting, rule/template execution, 3rd/4th party client tags, rich media code, etc. via OMS and Ad Server. 55%

Interact directly with new and existing clients, our sales teams, and other teams using judgment and discretion on how to best resolve creative, trafficking or delivery issues. 10%

Work closely within the team to help prioritize daily traffic tasks, responsibilities and functions. 5%

Assist with producing daily trafficking reports for Ad Ops teams, running applicable reports to help maintain and prioritize tasks. Works with supervisor to help maintain report, keeping it up to date, changing as requested. 5%

Build and maintain an advanced knowledge of the products and site taxonomies of consumer sites that are part of our portfolio. 5%

Oversee the delivery and fulfillment of ad trafficking tasks managed by outsourced teams. 5%

Ensure campaign is properly implemented and delivering via QA tasks including: 3rd party reporting verification/validation, auditing of targeting for both national and regional campaigns, and review of ad server or other delivery reports. 5%

Works with Supervisor to help maintain third party reporting verification across all campaigns, ensuring third party campaigns are running and tracking accurately. 5%

Build and maintain strong, healthy relationships across all teams (sales, product and ad ops teams, etc.) keeping them apprised of any issues or anomalies that impact our business. 2%

Maintain process documentation, such as Order Entry Guidelines to ensure up to date information can be used by all team members. 2%

Demonstrate the flexibility necessary to adjust to changing/additional duties as the needs of our clients and our operations change.  Additional responsibilities may be delegated in order to assist meeting our goals and mission. 1%

Qualifications: 

  • Previous Trafficking experience at a publisher or agency of at least 6-12 months.
  • Comfortable in Excel. Have functioning knowledge of basic formulas, comfortable filtering, can use VLOOKUP
  • Strong customer service skills. This is a heavy on communications role, both with other internal teams and with clients.
  • Google/ DoubleClick fulfillment tools: DoubleClick for Publishers, DoublecCick for Advertisers, (new name) Google Ad Manager
