Business Development Manager

About the Role
Due to fantastic business growth we are looking for a motivated, committed and dynamic individual to join our commercial sales team. This role is in a small, but growing sales team with a great opportunity for accelerated progression into a future sales role.
This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach to selling. You will be working on one of the company' s core products where an ability to quickly understand pain points and solutions is a must. You will be building and managing your own pipeline whilst meeting and delivering demonstrations to potential customers.

This role will involve:

Generating leads
  • Primary focus on following up with existing or new, warm leads including old opportunities, webinar attendees, tradeshow leads, content downloads and contact form
  • Cold calling and cold emailing to help generate a new pipeline of leads, when required
  • Prospecting via LinkedIn and other channels, which will be supported by the marketing team

Qualifying leads
  • Qualify leads by gauging their interest, understanding their requirements and recognizing which solution they are most suited for
  • Once qualified, set a call/meeting/demonstration for the appropriate business development manager
  • Provide information/pricing on the solutions and work to build rapport with prospects

Nurturing leads
  • Work with marketing to apply drip campaigns and engagement emails to nurture prospects.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to analyze leads
  • Track all tasks using our CRM

Customers
  • There will be increased involvement with existing customers over time, for upselling
  • The above activities will be tracked and targeted quarterly by the Sales Director

Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar SaaS environment
  • Experience of selling a solution with a consultative approach
  • An appreciation of the finance industry is desirable
