Job Description

The role of the Change Coordinator is to facilitate the progress of change requests. The change coordinator functions as a support staff member who handles the phases of validation, resource assignment, schedule, approval and review of a change request. The change coordinator assists in analyzing and categorizing change requests to determine the type of approval needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all production related changes have been properly identified and entered into the Change Control system
  • Associating related CIs, incidents, and services to the change request
  • Planning activities include scheduling the change request and resources for each task
  • Reviewing schedule of changes to identify time and conflicts associated with requested changes
  • Authorize acceptable changes
  • Assists in the monitoring, review, and approval of change requests to ensure they meet the established completion criteria and processes
  • Providing status updates to requesters
  • Conducting post-implementation reviews to validate the results of the change request
  • Attends weekly CAB meetings
  • Performs post-implementation review of all Changes
  • Maintains procedures, polices and other documents relating to Change Management
  • Ensures defined change management processes are adhered to and where appropriate implements options to address non-conformance.
  • Produce reports related to Change Requests
  • Train users on the change management process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Change Control or analyst role within several IT domains
  • 1+ year of experience using ServiceNow
  • A solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work independently and convey information to IT & Business partners in a clear, focused and concise manner.
