Job Description


Responsibilities:
- Automating build-test-deploy lifecycle for a project to build golden container images and golden server images to be used across the corporation.
- Ensuring images are scanned via security tools like TwistLock and Qualys.
- Ensure that notification of image vulnerabilities are communicated across the Corporation via
entries in ServiceNow and Jira
- Ensure that documentation in Confluence is updated to show the latest vulnerability and compliance information for the images
- Contribute code to multiple automation projects
- Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model
- Participating with Architecture, Operations and Engineering teams within Scrum Agile processes.
- Defining, escalating, and resolving all technical issues in an organized, efficient, and professional fashion


Required Experience:
- Strong automation skills using PowerShell core (for Linux) or similar scripting language
- Experience with CICD automation via GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Experience with infrastructure automation via Terraform
- Bachelor’ s degree or technical college diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Experience developing applications embracing Agile principles
- Experience with collaborative version control systems (e.g. Git / Bitbucket)
- General experience with a variety of container images (ex. Openjdk, alpine, dotnetcore, nodejs,
postgresql) and how they are used
- Advanced understanding of Networking, and Internet principles
- Strong knowledge of cloud, IAAS and service oriented infrastructure Desired Experience:
- Automation with Google Cloud Platform
- DevOps focused engineer with experience in LEAN principles
- Experience working within an agile framework
