Director of IT

Location: Atlanta, GA (Buckhead)

The Director of IT collaboratively leads the technology innovation and strategy for the firm, and is tactically responsible for developing and monitoring the network, project management, troubleshooting problems, analyzing system performance, performing software and hardware upgrades, and providing technical support to users in the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all areas of the firm’s information technology department including cybersecurity and disaster recovery planning.

• Establish a strategic plan to ensure that the firm’s technology practices are current and take advantage of new technology solutions.

• Support in creating and implementing integrated technology strategies to support multiple business units and processes, which includes analyzing emerging technologies and translating impact on current and future business processes.

• Provide technical support to staff in hardware and software related issues, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook), Client Relationship Management and Document Management Systems.

• Maintain the Virtual Infrastructure of servers and desktops. This includes both VMware, Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Technologies.

• Responsible for maintenance of VoIP phone system in the main office and connections (MPLS and IPsec VPN) to remote offices.

• Responsible for securing and maintaining proper software licenses.

• Provide and manage high level of Backup Solutions for all aspects of technology. Virtual Machines, File Systems, Configurations.

• Develop organizational specifications for hardware and software procurement.

• Maintain Disaster Recovery Documentation.

• Oversees all IT projects to ensure effective planning, design, and implementation.

• Assist in the training of new and existing staff in the use of software packages.

• Manage internal IT staff, and third-party service providers and contracts.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum of five years experience in a comparable role.

Industry & Professional Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Citrix, Microsoft).

• Experienced in networking technologies (e.g. VPNs, firewalls, VoIP, Wi-Fi).

• Expertise in Windows operating systems for both workstations and servers.

• Familiar with iSCSI Storage Area Networks (SAN) implementation and management.

• Proficient in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure management (e.g. Citrix, Microsoft).

• Administration of desktop and server applications.

• Administration of SaaS Solutions (e.g. Microsoft Azure and Office 365).

• Scripting experience is a plus.

• Active Directory administration.

• Database Administration.

• Knowledge of IT security and regulatory compliance.

• Technical support experience.

• Project management.
