Job Description

Our client in Scottsdale is looking for a HL7 Interface Analyst to provide planning, analysis, technical, communication, documentation, and maintenance tasks associated with the implementation of HL7, DICOM, and other system interfaces.

  • Interact with internal HLI teams, partner companies, new/existing partners, and third-party system vendors
  • Interact with systems analysts and interface engineers in the partners organization
  • Provide customer support and technical issue resolution relating to system interfaces
  • Will assist the project teams by planning, analyzing, and developing HL7 and DICOM interfaces
  • Develop work goals and department projects as requested
  • Maintain partner interface information and documentation
  • Make recommendations for improvements in processes
  • Identify issues, concerns and communicate them to leadership
  • Develop options and recommendations to quickly resolve technical and operational issues

  • Experience in a regulated and HIPAA compliant environment
  • Working knowldege of JavaScript
  • Minimum of 5 years interacting with healthcare IT vendors and hospital IT staff on technical issues
  • Minimum of 5 years of HL7 interface analysis, development, troubleshooting and maintenance, including but not limited to ADT, Clinical Lab Orders & Results, Radiology Orders & Results
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on with at least one HL7 interface engine [CorePoint, NextGen (Mirth) Connect, etc.]
  • Familiarity with the purpose and function of the various information systems present in a hospital and the type of data each one processes
  • Familiarity with the purpose and function of an inpatient and/or outpatient EHR
  • Strong ability in problem solving and troubleshooting with a firm commitment to quality
  • Dedication to team environment including cross-functional roles
  • Proven history of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to receive and share knowledge with peers
  • Provide support and technical issue resolution relating to system interfaces
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical domains, utilizing proper language techniques adhering to a strict decorum
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of DICOM interfaces
  • Experience with NextGen (Mirth) Connect
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with AWS
