Job Description

The  IT Analyst - Manufacturing is responsible for aligning the business strategies of a company with its technology and for implementing projects to achieve strategic advantage. Communicates with internal stakeholders to deliver process improvements, systems enhancements and business benefits. Acts as liaison between technology teams, support teams, and business units or functions.

 Primary Responsibilities:
    • Proactive identification of technology leveraging opportunities for value building in manufacturing
    • Responsible for establishing efficient and standardized manufacturing business processes
    • Create and implement short and long term IT vision for manufacturing team
    • Develop ERP/MRP based business solutions in collaboration with IT team, which enable the business to realize its operational and strategic goals
    • Drive business requirements gathering, analysis and solution design with manufacturing and IT
    • Represents manufacturing team in cross functional IT implementation
    • Analyze demand - supply data and provide recommendations
    • Coordinate and lead new IT application related testing & test design for the manufacturing team
    • Support the business process owners and super users with day to day application related issues
    • Improve manufacturing operations process flows and bottlenecks
    • Lead improvements in quality
    • Ensure all integration elements are addressed to enable manufacturing processes to be fully functional.
    • Analyzes current business processes (plan vs. actual) to identify areas of constraints and translate into mitigation plans and process improvements
    • Recommends technical/business problem solving solutions that are comprehensive, fiscally responsible and encompasses cutting edge technology
    • Identifies root causes and can addresses issues and concerns with comprehensive countermeasures
    • Identifies outliers, leading indicators, trends, and pitfalls to develop proactive mitigation plans
    • Prepares reports supporting department goals and objectives
    • Designs, establishes, develops, reporting standard for manufacturing
    • Maintains database and provides quality assessment to ensure data accuracy and constancy
    • Implements business continuous process improvement
    • Use process improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma to understand current situation and to make recommendations for improvements
    • May be called upon to lead global projects and runs project status/update meetings
    • Communicates with internal stakeholders via e-mail status reports, and other updates methods
    • Deliver Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document) to stakeholders and technical specifications to IT teams
    • Interpret stakeholder business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
    • Up to 30% travel required  to include domestic and international.
    • Additional duties as assigned

  • BA degree in Engineering or related field preferred (Equivalent work experience considered)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Experience in Manufacturing 4.0 is preferred.
  • Extensive manufacturing experience and working knowledge of plant operations, production controls systems, MES and ERP applications
  • 3-5 years of experience required

  • Extensive experience with discrete manufacturing, production scheduling and master planning for multiple sites, costing, demand forecasting, pricing, job orders,
