Job Description

Our client in Irving is looking to add a Jr. VoIP Admin to their team. This role requires a  fundamental level knowledge of Voice over IP technology and have superior customer service skills. You need to have an  understanding not only the ‘ how’ but the ‘ why’ aspects of voice/telephony systems. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Conduct discovery of existing telephony environment/technology.

Translate business requirements to technology solution designs.

Develop policy documentation, training material, and diagrams for VoIP systems throughout the enterprise.

Troubleshoot voice related issues and make recommendations for system fixes and enhancements.

Manage and work with vendors.

Research new technology advancements and conduct evaluations focused on optimizing and improving voice configuration, performance, capacity, availability, and operational reliability.

Create and maintain documents voice related standard operating procedures.

Make recommendations for leveraging voice solutions and reducing operational costs.

Analyze the Network or VOIP/Video/Teleconference system components, from end to end, to ensure the system(s) is up and running correctly

Partners with cross functional peers on both infrastructure and voice application solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Information Technology or related field or 3 years of equivalent IT experience.
  • Knowledge of call enter design, custom development and administration.
  • Experience in Telecom engineering and support that includes TDM, VoIP/IP Telephony, SIP, CTI, IVR implementations and management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office365 suite.
