Lead DevOps Engineer
Fulltime role in Dallas, TX


As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for: 
Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor their applications in cloud environments 
Actively participate in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements, and conducting tool evaluations 
Help solve business needs by evaluating different technology options and vendor products 
Troubleshoot system problems across platform and application domains and participate in on-call escalations to diagnose customer facing issues 
Take ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organization 

Qualifications:
3+ years of prior experience as a Software Engineer interested in working on systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable
Passionate about learning and applying new technologies 
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery 
Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely with engineering teams 
Self-directed and capable of working in a fast paced environment
Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces 
Experience with: 
Infrastructure-As-Code paradigm and Terraform 
Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. 
Continuous integration patterns and tools such as CircleCI, ConcourseCI, Jenkins, etc. 
System startup managers such as systemd and init.d o SSH and other forms of remote management 
General networking principles (DNS, TCP/IP, IPs, Ports, etc.) 
Linux in a Production environment (Ubuntu preferred) 

Pluses include:
Production experience with Docker 
Professional experience with a static language (C#, Java, Go, etc.) and a dynamic language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.) and understand the tradeoffs of each 
Package management platforms such as npm, pip, gems, and others
API management tools such as Kong, Mashery, API Gateway 
Proxy/Mesh technologies such as NGINX, traefik, linkerd, istio, envoy 
Datadog, NewRelic, or other similar monitoring solutions 
NoSQL and traditional RDBMS Database (MySQL, Postgres) experience
