Job Description


Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team to define and implement best practices and standards within the organization
  • Provide administrative documentation and logical diagramming support for the company’ s virtualized environments.
  • Develops tools and processes to enable automated deployment and monitoring of cloud and on-prem infrastructure and applications.
  • Automates images systems/network configuration and orchestration using tools such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines to include application and security testing and allowing for development teams to own the pipeline process from end-to-end.
  • Implements, improves, and augments infrastructure, application and security monitoring tools and overall platform stability.
  • Automating data resiliency and replication based on policies.
  • Responsible for managing and operation of environments
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
  • Configure, deploy and manage server hardware and software configurations to include but not limited to, Microsoft Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, RAID, virtual environments (VMWare).
  • Configure, deploy and manage network infrastructure appliances to include but not limited to, switches, routers, UTMs, wireless access points and firewalls.
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
  • Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with rest of the team
  • Create tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
  • Configure, deploy and manage storage configurations such as iSCSI, Fiber Channel and NAS

 

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in computer science or closely related field and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Linux/UNIX Systems Administration.
  • Master’ s Degree in computer science or closely related field and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Linux/UNIX Systems Administration.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
  • MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, A+, CCNA certifications
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix system fundamentals and common network protocols
  • Experience managing Linux/UNIX operating systems and clusters in a heterogeneous environment (Red Hat)
