Multi Disciplined Software Engineer

Description

Your duties will include, but are not limited to debugging, designing, building and maintaining systems and environments; focusing on data housekeeping and system housekeeping. We use a variety of languages and systems and this position requires the flexibility to thrive in this environment.

Responsibilities:

• Write, Build, Deploy, Configure, and Support software systems, which may also include software installations, updates, and core services.

• Project based software development to provide new solutions.

• Issue based software development for feature add and bug-fixing of current solutions.

• Infrastructure problem solving.

• Pair with other development teams to sustain an environment at high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.

• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize processes, using industry standard tools.

Job Requirements:

• A very good understanding of several programming languages, with 2+ years use in a professional environment. (c/c++/c#/visual basic/javascript/java/html/css/react/angular/node/scripting/ionic).

• A knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases

• Some knowledge of Networking (protocols, TCP, Rest API’ s, WAN, LAN, VPN, Routing)

• Candidate should have solid problem-solving skills, professional demeanor, willingness to contribute at all levels, strong technical skills, ability to multi-task, excellent work ethic and an ability to communicate effectively.

Other skills that may be useful:

• Knowledge of application code release management, unit testing and automation.

• A understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.

• Knowledge of windows services, and windows .NET development.

• Configuration management and deployment automation.

• Knowledge in network/security support, and LAN configuration, knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and security architectures.
