Net Architect - will play an important role in the architecture, design, evaluate, development & support of Enterprise applications. The position will be part of the Architecture team, and will work closely with other architecture organizations at HFC, Business, Functional and technical resources, to address EDI and Development requirements across the HFC enterprise. He/she should be an experienced IT professional who has worked in large-scale and complex business and technical environments, in particular experienced in managing complex .Net related Microsoft Technologies. The role requires a combination of technical depth, excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication (both written and verbal) skills and excellent skills in managing customer relationships.
Description of responsibilities:
• Helps define the technical vision, strategy and plan for modeling the enterprise applications and enable the development of high value, scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Business Partners on requirements and solution design
• Sets solution design standards and develops reference implementations.
• Design and code based on development standards and approaches
• Perform development quality checks
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers
• Assist with functional acceptance testing as needed
• Assist with code build and deployment process
• Monitors and collects data on system behaviors and performances within Enterprise applications for continuous improvement.
• Provides technical expertise and counsel to functional domain leads, management, other HFC organizations and project team members. Provides the HFC point of view in interactions with third parties.
• Coordinate communications, issue resolution, implementation and testing plans, training plans and successful transition to support and maintenance teams of architecture and operations activities.
• Responsible for guiding and reviewing the development of solutions specified in technical design
• Provide Level 3 production support, involving relevant product teams where applicable
• Reviews, validates, and provides guidance on estimates based on complexity, risk, and effort for proposed technical changes related to Microsoft technologies aid in planning and managing of projects.
• Contribute, understand and adhere to Application Development processes, software development standards, and technical approaches relevant to assigned technology
• Provide afterhours support as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership team Understands and works within corporate IT governance policies.
• Provides documentation, training, and support for the designed solution.
• Contributes to the timely, high-quality delivery of customer facing software projects.
• Needs to be experienced in robust, quick and efficient system integrations with 3rd parties
• Up-to-date knowledge of technologies around Single Sign-On, DevOps, Software Architecture, Cloud Offerings etc.



Educational requirements:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science, Information Services or related field is required.


Skills and experience:
• 12 + years of overall IT work experience
• 8+ years of experience working on .Net enterprise level applications and solutions
• Experience in SAP ERP environment understanding of business Processes and transactions.
• Knowledge of software development standards and best practice approaches
• Exposure to Agile development methodology
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry including mid-stream and down streams
• Ability to perform multiple duties concurrently with attention to detail and quality
• Ability to prioritize and manage work
• Ability to proactively monitor and communicate for timely escalation of issues
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug in assigned technology
• Ability to interact with internal and external team members
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
• Ability to understand and follow BT department data metrics requirements (such as time recording and project tracking)
• Ability to understand and comply with all HFC Corporate policies
Technical Skills:
• Hands-on .NET Application Architect with prior experience in architecting enterprise-grade applications
• Strong progressive work experience in application development with strong experience working with design, develop and delivery teams for full .Net stack development, including C#, MVC, WebApi, JSON, .Net Framework, SQL Server, etc.
• Solid database experience (SQL).
• Very proficient with .Net web technology (e.g. - .Net Web API, MVC, C#, XML, HTML, SSL, IIS).
• Experience building out and maintaining test automation (e.g. Unit, Integration, Acceptance, Load, Performance, etc.).
• Development experience with client-side technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Source-code management using TFS Git or GitHub. Including code reviews using GIT pull requests.
• Good understanding on the principles of ESB, SOA, Event-Based programming.
• Good experience with Test Driven Development, mocking frameworks, IoC, dependency injection.
• Middleware & Enterprise API management tools as well as component-based architecture.
• Highly proficient with MS-SQL and developing complex queries, stored procedures and developing ETL (SSIS) / SSRS processes in order to migrate / transpose data from various data sources.
• PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Project-level experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with cloud-based PaaS/IaaS providers (e.g. Rackspace, Azure, AWS) and working with virtualized systems, including: application servers, databases, and networking infrastructure is a plus.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with cross-platform mobile application development is a plus
• Strong SDLC, project management, time management, and tracking/reporting skills.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as an Architect/Lead on large projects.
