Sales Training Manager

What you will do:

You are responsible for overall training group and plan for the Sales organizations, including training for Inside Sales, Channel and Account Management. You will work with Sales Operations and Sales management in evolving and managing sales training curriculum, programs and plans, including New Hire training and general Selling Skills. Will work with internal functional partners including Product Management, Marketing and Systems to package and help deliver content necessary for Sales enablement and success. Finally, to ensure a solid feedback mechanism and drive positive behavior this individual will also program manage the Sales QA program, working with an external vendor to ensure call quality. This is an internal sales training position and may require travel occasionally to our other major Sales offices to support training staff as needed.

  • Coordinate various training programs including calendar of live training with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and online course management as part of an overall Training plan for Sales
  • Develop additional content on an as needed basis; create and administer certification program on a regular basis
  • Deliver live Sales training and support SMEs in delivering content to Sales
  • Manages overall reference library, ensuring that training materials are comprehensive enough to ensure smooth Sales hire onboarding and ongoing success
  • Administer all Sales Rep facing content within Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Support all knowledge base activities, including the updating and classification of existing content
  • Monitor and track training activities with formal report outs as input into rep level scorecards
  • Collaborate with various teams within the organization to conduct needs assessments and strengthen Sales competency
  • Manage the Sales QA program and incorporate learnings to enhance overall training or provide insight into individual coaching opportunities

Requirements

  • Experienced professional with at least 5 years of experience in Sales training
  • Ability to prioritize projects, allocate resources and interact with all levels within an organization
  • Management of teams
  • Strong computer skills-proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and LMS
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and assess training programs, gathering feedback proactively to ensure absorption
  • Willingness to learn new software applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles across multiple formats - ability to create an interactive environment
  • Comfort with technical materials, leveraging subject matter experts as needed for both content creation and delivery
  • Undergraduate degree desired
  • Experience in telecom, SaaS, I/T services preferred
  • Sales experience a bonus
