Job Description


Key Areas of Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Scrum Master to lead key initiatives to deliver project objectives for medium to large sized agile projects
  • Facilitate Iteration Planning/Sprint Planning/Points Planning, Handle Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement/grooming, Retrospectives, Sprint Presentation/Demos with team and Product Owner/stakeholders
  • Maintain Partner Facing APIs
  • Assist key business users (product owners) with backlog creation, grooming and prioritization
  • Identify and remove impediments to prevent distractions
  • Maintain and publish agile metrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down)
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Stakeholders to facilitate release management across teams to coordinate release scheduling
  • Maintain software release schedule and act as a liaison between teams to ensure proper communication
  • Serve as a coach while empowering team self-organization and self-management
  • Cultivate robust and sustainable working relationships between business and technology teams to foster a cross-functional team environment
  • Promote and evangelize Agile across the organization
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance effectiveness
  • Adhere to internal SDLC and review processes and standards

Requirements:
  • 2 years minimum experience as a Scrum Master to manage Agile projects with Agile software development methodologies, specifically Scrum, Lean or Kanban
  • Experience in leading process improvement and/or change initiatives, especially as it related to software development is a plus
  • Self-motivated driver able to make progress despite obstacles and to solve problems
  • Strong time management skills and sense of timeliness in meeting commitments
  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
  • Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
  • Exceptional facilitative skills, must be able to lead and demonstrate value add principles with transparency (e.g. desire to bring disclosure and grow trust)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient with JIRA for Feature, Initiative, User Story, burn down chart management etc, Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, and SharePoint 2010/SharePoint 2013
  • Scrum Master or other agile certification is a plus
  • Bachelor' s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience
