Job Description


The IT Security Architect serves as strategic advisor responsible for designing enterprise security strategies that align with best practice and the overall direction of the organization.

The IT Security Architect is accountable for the security architecture across a variety of applications, technologies, projects and initiatives. This role must be a subject matter expert in network and host-based firewalls, Identity Access Management (IAM), intrusion detection/prevention systems, data loss prevention, vulnerability scanning, anti-malware and spam protection, secure data transmission technologies, and network monitoring/protection solutions.

Requirements:

• Responsible for developing best practices around identity and access management (IAM)

• Analyze information systems utilizing various cybersecurity techniques including intrusion prevention systems, firewalls, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability assessment software to aid in the detection and prevention of cyber-attacks

• Leading information security projects and implementing security technology

• Act as advisor for information security risks, threats and solutions

• In-dept knowledge of project management methodologies

• Recommend changes to standard processes and operating procedures

• Assist with security policy reviews, audits and configuration standards

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (or related security field)

Certifications:

CISSP, CISA, or CISM. PMP is preferred

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in Information Technology / 10 years in Information Security

Skills:

Analytical, Verbal & Written Communication, Time Management, Project Management, Risk Assessment, Process Design and Improvement. Strong audit and compliance focus.
