Sr. Director - User Experience

As the User Experience Sr. Director, you will bring deep experience with interaction design, and fluency in web and mobile information architecture, with ability to translate functional objectives into detailed specifications. You will carry a thorough understanding of end users, a passion for customer-centered design, and a critical eye toward clear visuals and text. You will need to be a motivating people manager, with a reputation for excellence in team interactions. In this role, you will work with all departments within the organization, including Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Technology.

Responsibilities:
  • You will participate in the Business Case process, providing customer insights and UX/UI estimates for the effort required to analyze customer experience needs, map the customer experience, provide prototypes, workflows and/or wire frames to support projects
  • You will support the UX/UI team in the optimization of information architecture to promote usability, while accommodating technical needs/constraints
  • You will design, implement, own, and lead the articulation of the UX/UI process as part of the SDLC, from vision and design to usability testing, with a clear understanding of the impact of UX to return on investment and revenue
  • You will be responsible for the design, implement and handle the UX Framework, ensuring definition of reusable components to be utilized by the front-end development team
  • You will support the team in the development of customer/user flows and personas to facilitate feature design process
  • You will provide guidance for Usability Testing, leading the resources to execute on it
  • You will facilitate and support Sprint Design, Rapid Prototyping, Proof of Experience and monetizable MVPs, leading cross-functional design sessions
  • You will prioritize and allocate resources to projects, handling UX/UI project-based work, and reporting status
  • You will lead a group of UX/UI Architects in the execution of work, coaching and mentoring staff, as well as provide performance reviews
  • You will collaborate with the organization in the definition, development and implementation of excellent customer/user experiences
  • You will be responsible for the ideation, innovation and prototyping processes

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Experience, UX Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years of front end development experience and SDLC
  • Experience in a fast-paced software environment, and an ability to execute against bold timelines
  • Experience designing web and mobile solutions for enterprise platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of wireframing and/or prototyping tools and methodologies
  • Solid fundamentals of front end web technologies
  • Demonstrable ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and projects, while ensuring effective use of resources
