We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) who will be responsible for leading project activities from initiation through production implementation, working closely with the team and stakeholders across the organization to deliver on-time and high quality solutions that are in support of the client’ s goals. The PM will serve as the primary liaison between the client and the engineering team, and be experienced in managing all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process to include project planning, execution and client satisfaction. The PM will be expected to develop schedules, manage the deliverables, identify and mitigate risks, collaborate with key stakeholders, and execute the schedule in accordance with the terms and conditions of the project. The PM will manage a small team of engineers, and analysts while reporting to the Program Manager and the client’ s assigned Contracting Officer’ s Representative. The successful candidate will have a detailed technical understanding of the work to be performed and will be required to support technical tasks as part of project execution and customer support. The PM is expected to be a self-starter who will take ownership of the project and its intended performance.

Job Responsibilities include:
• Work directly with government customers, analysts, and engineers to identify and document requirements, perform detailed analysis/design, and support the development of the solution in accordance with system/product architectures.
• Work with the program management team to scope and estimate new efforts or customer requests as needed.
• Responsible for successful execution of the project, manage schedule to milestones, and maintain communication with the client and Program Manager.
• Provide routine status and or project reports to project stakeholders.
• Manage/Mentor a small team of analysts
• Work with solution engineers and perform design trade offs and develop solutions in accordance the terms and conditions of the project.

Experience and Skills:
• Ability to lead highly technical teams on a challenging project and manage the deliverables and technical baselines.
• Ability to manage to the technical, schedule, quality, and cost objectives of the project.
• Experience with government software development life cycle (SDLC) framework and artifacts, and delivering on tasks performed at each step in the software development process.
• Ability to interface directly with customers to ensure job requirements are met.
• Direct project personnel resources to accomplish key milestones.
• Develop, track, and update resource loaded project schedules.
• Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a technical level.
• Participate in project status reviews to monitor and/or provide inputs to cost completion, projected fee, invoices, and purchase commitments.
• Manage capture of new business for existing and new customer accounts - including generating quotes and leading proposal efforts.

Additional education / skills:
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or related field)
• 10+ years related experience, preferably in software, networks, IT product, etc.
• PMP desired
• Experience as a Federal Government Prime contractor desired
• Direct experience managing within different FFP, LOE, T&M contract vehicles desired
• Work experience with the Social Security Administration, CMS, Department of Veterans Affairs, or other larger government agency desired
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required
