Sr. Technical Project Manager


  • Responsible for managing large complex IT projects throughout the full project life cycle – from ideation, planning, resourcing, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure
  • Create and manage project schedules, stakeholder communication plan, budget (planned, actual and forecast), scope management plan and risk management plan
  • Manage complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Drive project delivery to meet stakeholder objectives while maintaining project delivery quality
  • Work with Business and IT Stakeholders to develop the vision of the project and document the project plan
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Determine resource and skills requirements; Collaborate with resource managers for other IT areas to staff the appropriate skills and number of resources on the project
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Manages highly matrixed teams, providing structure and environment of accountability to keep teams focused on achieving agreed project objectives on schedule and budget
  • Engage with vendors, external consultants as the project activity demands


  • Good attention to detail in planning the intricacies of projects and in making sure project dependencies, conflicts, and issues are resolved in a manner maximizing the value delivered to the business
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles as it relates to project management and delivery of a business case (budget vs. earned progress, capital vs. expense, etc.)
  • Develops communication strategies and plans to ensure organizational awareness and adoption of end state
  • Serves as subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
  • Provides various administrative services necessary to keep the project on track: status reporting, budget and forecast management, resource planning, vendor management
  • 8+ years’ experience using a project management tool such as MS Project and Excel.
