Job Description

Security Engineer

Qualified candidates will have experience with the following:
  • Networking concepts and protocols, including network security methodologies
  • Risk management processes
  • Cybersecurity and privacy principles
  • Cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Application vulnerabilities
  • Network access, identity, and access management (e.g., public key infrastructure, Oauth, OpenID, SAML, SPML)
  • Understands how traffic flows across the network (e.g., TCP, IP, OSI, ITIL, etc.
  • Experience with programming logic and structure
  • Experience with system and application security threats and vulnerabilities, including buffer overflow, race conditions, mobile code, cross-site scripting, replay, covert channel, malicious code, return-oriented attacks, etc.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and fault identification
  • Experience with system, network, and OS hardening techniques.
  • Understanding of network security architecture concepts such as protocols, topology, components, etc.
  • Experience working with security models such as Biba Integrity model, Bell-LaPadula model, Clark-Wilson, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical hacking techniques and principles
  • Understanding of enterprise-level organization' s information classification program and procedures
  • Experience with packet-level analysis using toosl such as Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Understanding of penetration testing tools, techniques and principles
  • Keeps abreast of emerging application security risks
