SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - PLANO, TX

Summary

The Systems Administrator is responsible for administration and organization of client computing and enterprise infrastructure.  The administrative responsibilities include updating systems and software consistent with the Patch Management Plan, performing backup and recovery, and monitoring system performance. In case of a security incident, the System Administrator assists Security in investigating the incident, assessing system impacts, and restoring the system to normal operation. The System Administrator will suggest areas of improvement and take ownership of projects to deliver quality and timely results.

 Job Duties:

  • Assist in the design and architecture of system management and security systems
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades as scheduled.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software problems and escalate when appropriate
  • Self-Starter & the ability to multitask
  • Remediate service requests assigned in a timely manner
  • Manage end-user accounts, permissions and rights in accordance with best practices
  • Ensure that Backups of servers and storage complete and perform routine restore tests
  • System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of network and system component(s)
  • Hardware/System Monitoring of physical servers, virtual servers, services, and applications
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations and installations
  • Must be available to travel up to 10% of time.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in server, storage and backup technologies
  • Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DFS, DNS, ADFS)
  • VMware (ESXi 6.0 or later)
  • Citrix XenApp (XenApp 7.x)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • SQL Server (2012 or later)
  • Office 365

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
