HUNTER has a client looking for 2 Technical Consultant/Developers to either work in their Atlanta office and learn the  proprietary language their ERP is built in OR already have experience with X3 and sit 100% remote.  

The Technical Consultant will quickly develop a deep knowledge of X3 software development and the  Application Framework for X3, Web Services, 4GL, Eclipse IDE and XML. They will provide input on technical aspects of  implementations from pre-sales through implementation and also, where required, ongoing Support and Maintenance. The Technical Consultant will be able to support the Customer in enabling the ERP to meet their business needs. This will be accomplished either by expanding on standard capabilities within  X3, or integration with 3rd party software. However, the primary driver will be to guide the Customer to exploit the core capabilities of  X3 and limit/negate any customisations outside of standard configuration. In addition, they will play a key role in the integration of third party systems, data migrations and upgrades relating to X3.

The role demands the ability to diagnose and understand the Customer’ s objectives, translate them into the system configuration, identify gaps and solutions, provide technical and application expertise through training, workshops and knowledge transfer thereby enabling the system to successfully pass through user testing and into a production environment.

The Consultant  is also expected to identify opportunities whilst on Customer site for additional client products  and also on-selling themselves and their colleagues in Enterprise Professional Services into the project to perform additional work that would benefit the Customer.
They will be critical in enabling ambitious growth plans. They will contribute to these aggressive future revenue targets by increasing our ability to rapidly deploy solutions to  Customers. The Technical Consultant will provide the highest level of Customer satisfaction. They will be regarded as a technical expert in  X3 and through their expertise ensure our Customers and partners maximise the investment they have made.

The role will help build the reputation of the Enterprise Professional Services Team and will be critical in achieving the quality, profitability and Customer referenceability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a thorough knowledge of  X3 technical environment requirements, configuration capabilities, development and implementation processes to deliver professional services to our Clients. This will be through hands on project experience but also through self-study
2. Achieve Product Expert level in  X3 Architecture, Configuration & Development capabilities. Build a good understanding in at least one key discipline – e.g. Finance, Manufacturing and Distribution
3. Understand client' s  offering for On Premise, Private & Public Cloud solutions. Investigate options for deployment in the Public Cloud for all new solution and upgrades/graduations, being clear on the current limitations and necessary workarounds
4. Provision/input of knowledge material to Learning Services. Collaboration with Training Experts on the design of Training curriculums and materials. Demonstrate effective and professional delivery of training courses or workshops to an audience of implementation, support and presales consultants using real-world experience and examples
5. Develop close working relationships with Prospects, Clients & Business Partners to determine their specific needs for  X3 project implementations
6. Engage and provide input to Technical Needs Analysis (e.g. requirements gathering, technical / development scoping, technical solution / system design)
7. Technical project governance – supporting a project manager and project team to identify and mitigate technical project risks, defining technical stream delivery plans and estimates for bespoke development
8. Mentoring consultants whilst they carry out their first implementation ensuring that their credibility is maintained with their direct Customer/s for future work
9. Remain abreast of industry trends and requirements within the ERP sector

1. Knowledge of complex Technical Architectures & deployment options in On Premise, Private & Public Cloud environments
2. Excellent knowledge of data migration and integration technologies, best practice and execution strategies
3. Excellent training skills - the ability to transfer knowledge as an expert using techniques to engage the delegates and enhance the learning experience
4. The ability to digest complex technical information quickly and transform this into a comprehensive, understandable and concise format
5. Strong analytical & time-management skills. Able to gather, analyse and interpret data to aid decision making and use proactively to develop innovative solutions working to challenging timescales
6. Ability to write in a clear, concise and professional manner using appropriate grammar, style and language for the reader. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people
7. Ability to break down tasks and estimate work assignments in order to prioritise workload and manage time in a deadline-driven environment with a high level of attention to detail
8. Relationship Management skills including influencing & the ability to deal with difficult Customer situations
9. Must be available to travel to Client sites and spend time away from home working on projects approximately 25%.
