Position: Technical Lead, .NET / Middleware

Location: Atlanta, GA

Technical Lead, .NET/Middleware is a experienced specialist able to coordinate multiple contractor and employee resources in delivery of business outcomes for high volume critical customers of my client. This position reports to Director, Digital Solutions / Customer Connectivity. Primary applied technology is .NET Core, API frameworks, and middleware inter-operability.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementing supporting .NET API/Middleware architectural goals
  • Responsible for formulating .NET API/middleware technical roadmap, technical debt
  • Responsible for .NET API/Middleware security, performance, stability
  • Responsible for implementing business process automation with .NET microservices
  • Responsible for day to day tactical leadership of offshore .NET API development team, on multiple parallel initiatives.
  • Responsible for coordinating API maintenance / third level (senior) technical support

Education:

Bachelor’ s degree in computer science / MIS or similar related discipline is preferred, but not absolutely required. Hands on experience is prioritized.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expert level working knowledge of .NET Core, .NET Standard and .NET Framework 4.6/4.7.
  • Expert level knowledge of C# - Abstraction, Generics, prototyping, LINQ, Entity Framework
  • Some knowledge of Azure deployments and toolset – Application Insights, App Services, Azure Logic Apps
  • Some knowledge of AWS deployments and toolset – Elastic Beanstalk, Redis, EC2.
  • Expert level knowledge of Visual Studio 2017
  • Expert level knowledge of Transact SQL and applied SQL Server technology.
  • Expert level understanding of versioning (GitHub), Management, telemetry, performance tuning and API documentation techniques for .NET Core
  • Able to lead a medium size team of .NET API/middleware developers on a common project, assign tactical goals, coach, elaborate design.
  • Able to create technical debt and technical roadmap assessments for .NET API middleware products.
  • Able to peer review, improve and implement presented Solution / Enterprise Architecture artefacts.
  • Expert level knowledge of MS Unit testing framework
  • Represents organization’ s vision and values. Understands and works within the organizations mission, operations, structure and goals.
  • Courageous people leadership, ability to motivate, influence and develop a diverse team of IT professionals.
  • Prior leadership experience that demonstrates the ability to be a player and a coach as needed in a fast-paced environment.
