Technical Product Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, define and document data workflows and mapping requirements; create associated diagrams, standards and documentation

• Work with tech leads and architects to capture and document system designs cloud-based database schemas

• Perform brand-wide system analysis to define integration points, redundancies and identify associated impact, such as data access requests to both 3rd Party and internal integrations

• Document reporting and analytics requirements, identify impacted systems, and define needed fields with source level Info

• Stay abreast of data analytics trends and standards, metadata management, data quality and data governance

• Create detailed technical user stories and applicable acceptance criteria for development implementation

• Maintain/update new or existing detailed data documentation, streamlining where possible

• Document Change Requests as a result of decisions made by Data Governance Group

Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as technical product manager, system analyst or other related fields

• Experience working in digital platforms, ideally working in media industries or on consumer-facing products

• Exposure to working with vast amounts of data in cloud-based architecture (AWS or other)

• Comprehensive understanding of web technologies, web analytics and experience with applicable tools – ex. Google, Adobe Omniture, Chartbeat, etc.

• Experience with enterprise level database systems, and strong understanding of data warehouses/data lakes and ETL strategy

• Experience gathering, interpreting, documenting and prioritizing requirements via process flows, use cases, wireframe/design annotations, or other project artifacts as needed in a Product Manager or similar role.

• Experience writing and grooming user stories with acceptance criteria from inception to sprint team consumption

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; critical thinker and detail oriented
