Job Description


Technical Product Manager

The Technical Product Manager will focus on multi-platform tech strategy across several products: Apps on 15+ mobile and connected/OTT platforms: Android/iOS, smart TVs, digital media players, game consoles. You will define holistic technology solutions from front-end UI experience to data flows to back-end components for APIs and services. You will define implementation specs, translating product requirements into technical requirements for platform developers, QA testers, Turner technology teams, and external partners. You believe in building best-in-class technology to achieve current functionality, along with future adaptability. You will also assist with critical support issues, diagnosing root causes and recommending fixes.


Responsibilities:
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) for core sports and video features across 2zero+ platforms
  • Create multi-platform technical plans for the tech stack: Drupal CMS, Content API, microservices, app builds
  • Translate business requirements into technical specs,
  • Lead tech reviews with platform app developers
  • Collaborate with architects & developers on technical deep dives, scenarios, and implementation checks
  • Advise on technology roadmap initiatives for future capabilities, per platform updates and industry trends
  • Lead feature and cross-platform testing for product consistency, service errors/failures, and post-rollout checks
  • Perform problem triage and root cause analysis, Recommend fixes for immediate & long-term needs
     

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software building experience with web, mobile apps, or connected/OTT apps
  • Experience building websites or native apps from concept to requirements, implementation to rollout
  • Experience with live streaming video and HTML5/app video players
  • Experience with API/SDK integrations and cached/real-time data retrieval
  • Experience working with data formats (JSON, XML, databases, etc.)
  • Use of Charles proxy or similar tool to debug and rewrite requests
  • Ability to present technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
