Job Description

Technology M&A Leader

The Technology M&A Leader performs research, IT financial analysis and modeling in advance of an acquisition in order to identify risks and synergy opportunities associated with a target company' s organization, technology capabilities, and infrastructure. This leader will engage product experts and technical architecture teams to conduct appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Technology M&A leader is responsible for creating detailed due diligence reports along with integration/migration plans and making appropriate recommendations to the leadership team regarding a potential acquisition target.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in due diligence sessions to identify functional and technical strategy, organizational structures, vendor relationships and supporting technologies.
  • Supports the development technology integration roadmaps and effort estimates
  • Contributes to the assessment and gap identification in strategic areas of focus, helping identify potential acquisition targets to close gaps
  • Documenting findings for applications, data, infrastructure, people, and 3rd party contracts
  • Creating due diligence summaries of findings, synergy opportunities, cost implications, risks etc.
  • Support is typically provided across the M&A lifecycle, from target screening, to due diligence, to integration


Experience Required:
  • 7-10 years of IT Leadership in developing and delivering complex IT platforms
  • Bachelor’ s or Master’ s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or comparable field
  • Strong understanding of IT concepts and creative thinking
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Comfortable operating in an unstructured environment
