Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities for this position, include, but are not limited to:
  • Understand and support the company mission, business initiatives, organizational culture and service orientation
  • Be a strong leader of people
  • Maintain, own and execute the company security program with at least annual reporting of status to the Executive Committee
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure execution of all Technology policies and procedures both internally and through third party vendors/providers
  • Build the Technology road map with a vision at least three years into the future
  • Communicate regularly with the executive team to garner understanding and support for key initiatives with responsibility for executive level summary and presentation including key merits and cost analysis
  • Lead and innovate within the company's industry-leading data sciences environment
  • Evaluate emerging, new and improved technologies to gauge benefit to the company's operations
  • Establish and support departmental and property budgets
  • Manage and negotiate technology related contracts
  • Build strong business relationships, both internally and externally, and establish and maintain strong communication among the departments and team
  • Be entrepreneurial in spirit to build consulting and other services that support the goals of being a profitable management company
  • Always look for efficiency and scalability of systems and work to improve processes, integration of information, etc. to improve the business
  • Drive a strong service philosophy with associates, owners, and business partners
  • Manage third party vendors to hold them accountable for their role and responsibility to the company. 
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to translate and explain technical terms and concepts and the ability to communicate with multiple people

  • Experience in Student or other Multifamily Property Management or related field is highly desired
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects from system and application selection to implementation, infrastructure and security; and business intelligence 
  • Ability to travel (up to 10% travel)
  • May require an advanced degree in a related area with at least 10 years of experience in the information technology field
  • Successful candidates will have at least 5 years experience withiin an organization's leadership team
  • Contract and vendor management with strong negotiation skills preferred
  • Experience with Technology best practices and policies
  • Strong leader and communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute in a dynamic and fast paced environment
